Once again collaborating with the Old Treasury Building Museum, Studio Alto were given the chance to design Streets of Melbourne, a historical showcase on how Melbourne’s Streets came to be. The exhibition comprises of an illustrated map of historical photographs and their significance in the history of Melbourne’s streets, as well as numerous maps and plan drawings belonging to Robert Hoddle, the principle engineer of Melbourne’s city grid.

Running from December 2013 through till May 2014, this exhibition provides a comprehensive look into a period of history where Melbourne was beginning to come into prominence as a city, with many interesting anecdotes on how the city’s streets were named. Studio Alto was involved primarily in all illustrations, print design and typesetting.
